Garage door will not go down unless i hold the button on the wall.
Wireless remote works open the door but will not close the light out front starts flickering when we try to it with the wireless remote so we go inside push the button on the wall and hold it till it closes the door all the way.

Check garage door for binding.
An intermittent alignment issue with the sensors or damaged sensor wiring or a failing sensor could sometimes make it impossible for the system to determine if anything is under the door and again it will prevent the door from closing normally.
I have disconnected the safety devises and still have the same issue.
After i hold the button down to close it the sensor lights come back on.
When the door is up the sensor lights are off.

Besides longneck s excellent points if the garage door or opener is a new installation and has not worked before it could be that the opener s internal tension sensor is not correctly set.
Check for interference from adjacent photo eye sensors of any brand.
