Simple but true the remote transmitter needs power to send a signal to your opener.
Garage door wall console not working.
Note that most openers will have two sets of wires one going to the button and another to the photocell safety mechanism.
Check that the wires are secure by gently tugging on them.
If you remove the two wire leads and touch them together does the door open close.
Check the console lock switch.
The problem is either due to a blocked path between the sensors dirty eyes loose wires at the sensors or at the motor head or just bad sensors.
Follow the leads from the switch to the motor and check for any signs of breaks pinches or shorts.
If the led isn t lit i don t think your getting power to the wall switch which is consistent with it not working.
Turn off the sure lock aka vacation mode on the wall console check if limits are properly set check the door balance condition and door spring check opening force control or force settings.
You will find that the door will only move an inch or so in the close direction and reverse.
If the unit operates correctly with the remote the ones going to the photocell are probably ok.
